HARDCORE ANGELS: 1st IMPACT

On 11th April, 2026, my friend yikey (a.k.a. kurusunet) organized an URL event to celebrate his birthday.

A dozen people from the nerdcore community performed during the event, showcasing a mix of hardcore techno and gabber tracks.

This was the first nerdcore-themed event I’ve participated in. To mark the occasion properly, I prepared an hour-long DJ set consisting exclusively of nerdcore techno tracks. Aiming to highlight the diversity of this cultural phenomenon, I included several genres in my set, ranging from acid techno and jungle to breakcore, gabber, and terrorcore.

Two of my live sets played at the first IRL party hosted by inba☆style on July 19th 2025 at Voodoo Club (Warsaw, Poland). Very memorable experience, I’m so thankful to each and every person who made their appearance this night!

During both performances, my unrivaled personal VJ yuuczan accompanied me on the stage enriching the experience with her tastefully crafted visuals.

I played my first “lighter” set at around 1AM. Betting on a certain crowd energy level anticipated in the third hour of the event, I decided to rely on relatively safe and steady 170~190 BPM range. It was my minor goal to divide the set into distinct sections, each dedicated to a different kind of media having an influence on j-core music.

On 2nd May 2025 I played live as a member of inba☆style crew at a Twitch livestream event. It was done as a part of promotion efforts before our live appearance at Pyrkon 2025 in Poznań, Poland later this year.

This was also the first time I actually played a live set (not a recording made earlier) in front of an online audience. Not exactly everything worked out as I expected, but I’m happy with an overall result! ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

JJJ: The Jungle, Juke & Jersey (2024/10/12)

Comfy URL event organized by my friend lusso on his Discord server untitled backshots. It was mainly focused on three music genres - jungle, juke and jersey. Hence the name - JJJ.

The event took place on 12th October, 2024 at 8PM CEST. My set was played at 0:35.

Total runtime – 30 minutes.

Overall, I enjoy jungle music, but I’m not really exploring new artists or tracks at the moment. However I was still able to pick some good pieces of music from my favorites lists.

Four hours of sleep don’t feel that bad when you’re jet-lagged anyway. Getting through the day after feels even less arduous when a good party, like Weekend Ravers we’ve been to last night precedes it.

When we arrived at Takeshita Street, the most iconic spot in Harajuku, it was already half past noon. As one should expect given the time and the celebrity of this place, it was jam-packed. The sheer number of people made it difficult to move forward, let alone stop and browse the store displays.

First day, we woke up around 9 AM.

We’ve been granted 8 hours of good night’s sleep after 24 hours of grueling journey. The upcoming 24 hours are going to be just as tough to survive. The schedule is wild.

We were on our way to Okachimachi Station when we had decided to allow Sukiya the privilege of being the first famiresu we have ever visited.

This entry summarizes my 2023 trip to Japan. It was my first and hopefully not the last time visiting this country. Full report consists of multiple entries, each one describing a single day of the journey. It serves the purpose of my personal dairy, capturing precious and transient memories in words, photographies and other durable forms of communication.
