¶ What depends on me?
This website does not contain a single line of JavaScript code. All content is generated server-side and served as static HTML and CSS files.
No content is stored on user’s device in any form, like cookies or Local Storage entries.
No resources of any kind are loaded from 3rd party origins. Due to this policy, embeds and iframes are not used anywhere on my homepage.
User tracking mechanisms are not employed. However, some basic information including client IP address and user agent are logged for statistical purposes.
¶ And what does not?
Some hyperlinks featured on this website might lead to external services employing different end-user privacy policies. Given the choice, I always opt to choose services with more respectful attitude towards privacy, accessibility and compatibility matters. This choice is however limited by the availability of content I’d like to refer to or recommend to my visitors. This issue applies particularly to content hosted on services like YouTube or Twitter.
A plethora of alternative, privacy friendly front-ends to those services is available. Using them might help to mitigate some of the privacy-related issues.
Consider accessing YouTube through Invidious, Twitter (X) through nitter or Reddit through libreddit. You can use one of the public instances hosted by the community of volunteers. LibRedirect browser extension automatically translates accessed hyperlinks, effectively redirecting an user-agent to one of the configured instances.
Due to the volatile nature of those instances, hyperlinks on my website are untouched. It is up to you to decide how to interact with them.
¶ How am I doing it?
The website is served from my home server running in my apartment, under my desk. Traffic is routed via Cloudflare due to security reasons.
